The First Trailer for Steven Spielberg’s Mystery UFO Movie Is Finally Here

Reading time 1 minute

After months of rumors, we finally have our first look at Steven Spielberg’s next blockbuster—and a chilling tease for what to expect from the Hollywood legend’s latest sci-fi spin.

This morning, after a series of mysterious teaser posters around the U.S. this weekend, Universal revealed the first full trailer for Steven Spielberg’s long-awaited UFO movie, as well as its name: Disclosure Day. Check out the trailer below.

Disclosure Day stars Emily Blunt, Josh O’Connor, and Colin Firth as humanity begins to start reckoning with the idea that we are not alone in the universe, after Blunt’s Kansas weatherwoman gets thrust into the global spotlight after she seemingly channels an alien message live on TV.

From there, it’s anyone’s guess—this teaser is truly a tease, as we only get glimpses of what starts happening when the entire world starts questioning if aliens are really out there. There’s some deliciously freaky shots, like Colin Firth surrounded in a high-tech info hub, some very weird eye dilation (now we know why all those posters were so eye-centric), and surreal images of haunting animals, all soundtracked by that guttural, clicking, alien sound that set this all off in the first place. It has us dying to know more immediately about what exactly Spielberg has to say about returning to a genre he’s masterfully given us some of the best films of all time in.

We’ll find out more as we get closer to Disclosure Day‘s release on June 12, 2026.
