SABnzbd logoVersie 5.1.2 van SABnzbd is uitgekomen. Met SABnzbd kunnen bestanden van usenet worden gedownload. Dit opensourceprogramma is beschikbaar voor Windows, Linux en macOS, en biedt de mogelijkheid om nzb-bestanden te laden, waarna de juiste bestanden van usenet worden geplukt. Met de ingebouwde webinterface is het mogelijk om het programma via een webbrowser te bedienen. In deze uitgave zijn twee beveiligingsproblemen verholpen.

Critical remote code execution vulnerability resolved (GHSA-rgqj-28c2-gxwp)

You are only affected if an untrusted party can reach the web interface. By default, SABnzbd is only accessible from your own device and External internet access is set to No access. If either of those is still at its default, or if you use a proxy service for authentication, you are not affected.

In version 5.1.1 and earlier, an attacker who can reach the web interface could bypass authentication on configuration endpoints, even when SABnzbd is protected with a username and password. By changing SABnzbd's settings this way, an attacker could ultimately execute arbitrary commands on the system running SABnzbd, with the same permissions as SABnzbd itself. This also means that all information in SABnzbd would be exposed.

High-severity path traversal vulnerability resolved (GHSA-75g3-96fr-7p2r)

You are affected if SABnzbd processes NZBs or downloads from a source you do not fully trust, such as a public indexer.

In version 5.1.1 and earlier, a maliciously crafted PAR2 or SFV file inside a download could cause SABnzbd to move downloaded content outside of the job's own folder during post-processing. By using this to plant a file in another job's internal administration, an attacker could ultimately execute arbitrary commands on the system running SABnzbd, with the same permissions as SABnzbd itself.

Tof, gelijk ook maar erop gezet, het programma zelf bood het ook al aan.

Weet iemand of je die dikke grijze randen (borders) die in v5 geïntroduceerd zijn, kan terugconfigureren naar dun, minder wasted space?
Die dikke borders. Je hebt denk ik de dark mode in OS/browser staan.

Oplossing SAB thema geforceerd op light zetten ipv auto of dark.

In SABnzb: Tandwiel > Algemeen > Webinterface Stijl: Glitter - Light.
Hmm helaas, het stond gewoon op Glitter - auto. Dat al sinds de oudheid, ik heb nooit behoefte gehad om het thema aan te passen, het was prima. Windows is lichte mode, browser volgt dat.
Hmmzz dan heb ik eerlijk gezegd geen welke dikke grijze randen je bedoelt. Ik zie ze hier niet :| .

Het is maar een kort knipsel, over een vol scherm is het echt veel ruimte.
Je kunt in de interface op de steeksleutel klikken en in tab "web interface" heb je wel een paar opties om de layout weer wat compacter te krijgen.
Dank, alles stond al compact. Alle schuiven naar rechts behalve Tabs.
Je kunt de 'glitter.css' zelf aanpassen. Staat bij mijn in /opt/sabnzbd/interfaces/Glitter/templates/static/stylesheets/glitter.css

Zet de 1400px of 1700px (afhankelijk van hoe groot je scherm is) op bijvoorbeeld 90% en je hebt denk ik wat je wilt. Als je de code aanpast hoef je alleen de pagina te verversen, wijzigingen zijn direct van toepassing

Er is ook een optie in Status and Interface settings scherm, use full width. Op laatste tabje.
Yes, stond al aan .... De borders zijn van 4.5 -> 5.x bijna dubbel zo breed geworden. Valt mogelijk samen met die interface refresh waar alle elementen een beetje afgerond zijn geworden.

Klopt, ga ik wat aan doen ja.
Krijg helaas op Ubuntu de update nog niet aangeboden met apt (en hangt publiekelijk aan het internet). Tips?

Draai hem hier in een Proxmox LXC en het "update" commando gaf netjes de nieuwste versie. De LXC is wel Debian based, maar gebruikt dacht ik ook gewoon apt zonder speciaal ingestelde repository.
Al de tweede keer dat er kritieke veiligheidsupdates niet via het ingebouwde update-mechanisme worden aangeboden. Dat begint wel echt serieus vervelend te worden.
