Star Wars has a rich and textured video game legacy, but there are few texts more sacred than the messily fascinating successor to one of the other most sacred texts of the medium: The Sith Lords, the sequel to Knights of the Old Republic. Rushed out just 18 months after the first game, The Sith Lords is as infamous for its swath of bugs and cut content as it is some of the most intriguing writing about Star Wars within the galaxy far, far away, a dark examination of fate and the nature of the Force at the twilight of the Jedi Order.

One character in particular sits at the nexus of all that: the mysterious Kreia, a blind wanderer who crosses paths with the player character, the Jedi Exile and a veteran of the Mandalorian Wars, and sees a chance to shape a new tool to wield against the whims of the Force itself. Now, over 20 years since her debut, her dark alter ego, the fallen Darth Traya, is getting an incredible-looking entry in Hasbro’s “Gaming Greats” line of Star Wars Black Series figures.

Today Hasbro revealed the brand new Sith Lords two-pack, including the all-new Traya, and an updated version of its previous figure of one of her former Sith acolytes, Darth Nihilus. While Nihilus originally got a Black Series figure back in 2020, the new figure has several updates, including tweaks to his sculpting and new cloth goods. The Traya, however, seems to largely be all new for the character’s first-ever action figure and even comes with her three violet-bladed lightsabers, as well as translucent stands to replicate her style of fighting with them by levitating them around her with the Force.

The Black Series’ “Gaming Greats” line has quietly been one of the best parts of Hasbro’s Star Wars output the past few years, having slowly evolved from a line for repaints of pre-existing sculpts to one that consistently delivers great new figures of beloved characters from across Star Wars‘ contemporary canon (hell yeah, Turgle) and gaming icons from the old Expanded Universe. Traya is definitely one of the wildest we’ve seen so far, and hopefully a sign that we’ll start seeing even more figures of the cast of both Knights of the Old Republic games (and perhaps even the upcoming Fate of the Old Republic) going forward.

The Black Series Darth Nihilus and Darth Traya two-pack will retail for $60 and is available to pre-order exclusively through Amazon now.
