In a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, Maika Monroe stated she’s “heard some good news lately” about the sequel to It Follows.
Rumors have been spreading that it will be happening. I would stay positive, because I’ve heard some good news recently. It’s not at all what I expected, where you would find Jay, which I thought was really interesting. I was like, ‘Whoa! Cool,’ which I think the audience will probably have a similar reaction. I know this might sound cliché, but it’s staying true to the original where we’re bringing back all the same team…the story is very much still in that space, but it’s just grander. I’m really, really excited for it.
During his recent appearance on Jake’s Takes (via /Film) Ian McKellen suggested Magneto will “destroy New Jersey” in Avengers: Doomsday.
Nowadays, I think [filming special effects] will become a little bit easier, though. I did destroy New Jersey the other day. Oh, I perhaps shouldn’t have said that.

Variety reports four new episodes of Mystery Science Theater are now in development with Mike Nelson, Kevin Murphy, and Bill Corbett set to reprise their roles as Mike, Tom Servo, and Crow T. Robot. Additionally, Mary Jo Pehl is confirmed to return as Pearl Forrester, with Observer (Corbett) and Professor Bobo (Murphy) in tow. Production has begun in Minneapolis, where the original show was filmed, and will release later this year on the Rifftrax website. While the show’s official Kickstarter only asked fans for a $20,000 advance, it’s so far raised over $1,000,000 in its first few hours online.
