Speaking with Screen Rant, Jon Bernthal promised the Punisher’s homicidal tendencies will remain as “high octane” as previously seen in both Spider-Man: Brand New Day and his upcoming special on Disney+.
Around that same time [as Spider-Man: Brand New Day], there will also be this Punisher special that’s coming out that I think will be as sort of high-octane kind of Punisher as you’ve ever seen. And I think what was really important to me and to Destin [Daniel Cretton] and to Tom [Holland] is that we believed that the Punisher that could walk off of the Spider-Man set could walk on to the special set. I do believe that we achieved that.

According to Deadline, Glen Powell is in talks to star in Tesseract, an “original sci-fi feature” from director Sam Esmail. However, details on the plot are currently under wraps.
Variety has confirmed Cate Blanchett will reprise her role as Valka in How to Train Your Dragon 2.
Deadline reports Chris Landreth is attached to direct an animated adaptation of André Alexis’ novel, Fifteen Dogs, at Copperheart Entertainment. The story concerns “a conversation between Hermes and Apollo over drinks in a Toronto bar on whether animals would be happier if they had the same cognitive and speech abilities as humans. They decide to grant a group of ordinary dogs these powers as a test. Suddenly aware of time, love, power, and their own mortality, the dogs struggle to navigate a world that is no longer purely instinctual, and their once-unified pack fractures into competing visions of how to live, through domination, art, faith, manipulation, and love.”
Variety additionally has word that Blue Finch Films has acquired Bowels of Hell, “a genre-bending horror film” centering on a woman whose “struggles with unresolved trauma and a difficult child take a nightmarish turn when an inexplicable curse brings toilets to life as murderous creatures, plunging her into a bizarre realm where maternal responsibilities, loss and existential dread intertwine.” Though the premise concerns killer toilets, a press release from Blue Finch describes the film as “a provocative and bold piece of filmmaking” boasting “profound themes” that will “stick with viewers for a multitude of reasons.”
We also have a trailer for Diabolic, in which a reformed Mormon (Elizabeth Cullen) discovers her old compound houses a demon.
Finally, Ted returns for a second season this March 5 on Peacock.
